From the book of Psalm 127: If the Lord does not build the house, then the labourers work in vain. If the lord does not watch over the city, then in vain do the guards keep watch.
This is the full story of how Cavite-Imus Community came to be. It is the work of the Lord, a community of men and women watched over and guided by the Holy Spirit.
If I recount the events and experiences that lead to this moment of the formation of Cavite-Imus Chapter in Training, I could easily see the loving hand of God guiding our community from difficulties to achievements and from heartaches to fulfillments, from tears and now to joy.
All along, God has provided the necessary guidance and discipline, and has given very helpful discernments and inspirations. God gifted the small community with generous and Spirit-driven caring men and women, and with helpful and kind shepherding support of the RCD’s, like Bro Angel Sabas and big brother Mel Rebutica.
And like a child clinging to his father’s hands, the outreach slowly grew in substance as well as in number
and into what it is now, a Chapter in training.
And that is not all, God’s saving grace has performed two miracles with one stroke. Imus prayed for a great increase in membership, while Cavite was in the face of difficult situations and circumstances. God’s mighty hand and infinite wisdom intervened and resulted in the merger of Cavite and Imus communities.
In a special way, I would like to consider this merging as a tribute to the brave Caviteno spirit. For our community members in Cavite who refuse to surrender the work of God to the forces of destruction in moments of trials and difficulties.
Thank you for being faithful and humble to be part of Cavite-Imus Community. Thank you for loving the BCBP community. We have achieved victory in God.
And so sincerely from the deepest part of my heart, I would like to thank God for the many wonderful things He has done for us in Cavite-Imus community. We thank God for giving us the privilege to serve in this community.
True to the Spirit of Psalm 127, let God build our communities and let Him watch over the BCBP.
